In June of 2006, Break Arts member’s Marisa Jahn and Rachel McIntire worked with the staff of Brooklyn Fireproof in Williamsburg New York to create a strategic plan formalizing the work they began in 1998 as a gallery and provider of affordable artist studios. The work included setting for a plan for incorporation as a 501c3, articulation of the organizations mission and vision and to revising the programming to include international arts and youth arts programming. After comprehensive qualitative and qualitative analysis of the community and assessment of the goals and ideals of BFP founders, a three-year plan was developed. In addition, a comprehensive database of resources useful to the organization was compiled.
